Thomas Inman’s Dungeon is located in Srirangapatna in Mandya district of Karnataka state. This Dungeon is a dungeon built by King Hyderali of Mysore. Thomas Inone, an engineer, came to Srirangapatna from Britain in 1895. The prison he researched was named Thomas in One Dungeon. This Dungeon was used by Hyderali and Tipu Sultan to hold Maratha besiegers and other prisoners. Concealed from the surrounding environment, the Dungeon is made of brick and mortar, 13.75 meters long and 9.75 meters wide, and is built with arches.
