Ancient Hoysala Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Hosbudanur

The ancient Hoysala Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a Hoysala temple located in Hosa Budanur village, Mandya taluk, Mandya district, Karnataka state. The temple was built in the 12th-13th century during the reign of the Hoysala king Veera Ballala III. There are two temples from the Hoysala period in the village of Hosa Budanur, the other temple being the Anantha Padmanabha Temple.

This temple is located about 100 km from Bangalore and just 8 km from Mandya.

Kashi Vishweshwara Temple is considered as the Kashi of South. There is a large Nandi statue in front of the Linga. This temple is similar to the other temples in most respects. This temple has 4 small deity shrines, which are currently empty. The temple has sculptures of Ganapati and Shanmuga.
