The Sarveshwara Temple built during 11-12 century ad in kalyana chalukya style faces east. The temple on plan consists of a garbhagriha, antarala and open sabhamadanapa. The garbhagriha enshrines a siva linga. The lalatabimba of garbhagriha doorway has the relief sculpture of gajalakshmi, while that of antarala has bas- reliefs of brahma, vishnu and mahesvara. The jalandhras are seen attached to the doorjamb the rectangular sabhamandapa has kakshasana and a lengthy inclined roof, which reminds us of the tiled inclined roof of a house. This type of construction is due to the adoption of local style of building edifices. The stone platforms are noticed on the floor, which can be approached from north, south and east. The garruagriha, antarala, and sabhamandapa up to the eastern entrance-way with inclined roof are quite interesting and unique. The kakshasana runs all around the sabhamandapa the kakshasana has 32 pillars with four different types of carvings on them.
A beautiful sculpture is placed at the south-western corner of the sabhamandapa the garbhagriha has a beautiful kadamaba- nagara sikhara. Outside the temple are placed gosasa stones in a row and a few mutilated female sculptures. The inscriptions found on the lintels of the sabhamandapa records the donations made to the deity (mulasthanadevaru) and construction of surya temple and grants made to it. The inscriptions found outside the temple refers to the construction of isvara temple at naregal.
