Rajalabanda Dam is a dam built in Rajalabanda village near Kurdi in Manvi taluk of Raichur district in the state of Karnataka. Rajalabanda is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and is a check dam built across the Tungabhadra River on the border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and is a popular tourist attraction. The dam has a 31-foot-high, 2,690-meter-long retaining wall.
This dam is located about 404 km from Bangalore and 47 km from Raichur. It is also 25 km from Manvi taluk.
This dam was started in 1946 and completed in 1958. At that time, this dam was built to serve the villages located on the border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This dam provides irrigation facilities to an area of about 87500 acres.
Tourists flock here in large numbers on holidays and every Sunday.
