Papagni Math is located in Kalavara village of Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. Located at the foothills of the Skandagiri hills, this monastery was a Gurukula in the 17th century and has an ashram. It is near Sir M Vishweshwar Museum in Muddenahalli.

In the foreground we find a large well-built stupa. A beautiful lake can be found next to the temple.
