Bhimambika Temple or Bhimavva Temple is a popular monastery and temple in the temple town of Itagi in Ron taluk of Gadag district in Karnataka. It is popular with locals as a presentational historical temple. Here the Shambhulinga temple is inside the temple and the Bhimambika temple is outside the monastery.

History
Bhimambika’s father is Somanna and mother is Hanumamma. After their 12 years of marriage, she was born with the blessings of Banasankamma. Bhimambika Devi’s original name was Sankaramma, then she married Ogadadappa. Bhimambika Devi was a devotee of Shiva, always engrossed in God and through her grace, love and mercy helped many people and advised them to lead a religious life. He is believed to have performed many miracles and bestows blessings on his devotees. Currently the 8th generation members of his family are taking care of the Math.
