Dodda Sampige Mara or Dodda Champaka Mara, is a sacred and ancient tree in the heart of the Biligirirang Hills in Karnataka. This tree is about 34 m tall and about 20 m wide. It is believed to be 600 years old and the tree is worshiped by the aboriginal Soliga tribe. The sheer size of the tree’s trunk makes it a wonderful and unique large sampi tree.
