Gundal Dam is a small reservoir near Kollegala Taluk in Chamarajanagar District, Karnataka. This dam is built between two hills. Nestled among the hills, it is an area with beautiful views.
It is 155 km from Bangalore, 79 km from Mysore and 17 km from Kollegala. After covering 12 km on the way from Kollegala to Male Mahadeshwar Hill, turn right and travel 05 km to reach the reservoir.
Monsoon and winter are the best time to visit to see Gundal Dam. Hills are green during this time. There are no steps to walk on the dam here. Walking on the dam gives a great experience and great beauty. One also gets a chance to see some birds and ducks in the vicinity.
