Ragi Rotti

Finger Millet (Ragi), also known as the poor man’s almond, plays an important role in health and longevity. It is an important food item in India. Ragi contains many nutrients like protein, calcium and vitamins. It is known that 100 grams of ragi contains 344 milligrams of calcium.

Consumption of ragi can help control blood sugar and cholesterol, manage weight, suppress appetite and boost immunity.

I left it as a habit of some people to consume ragi with all these benefits daily through Finger Millet bread. This ragi rotti is very tasty and prevents us from many diseases. Nati chicken broth is its best combination. Millet flour is mixed with salt and water and cooked well. If you like you can add chopped onion, carrot, coriander and cumin while making the batter. Then the roti is patted in a pan and cooked in oil. Then ragi rotti is eaten with chutney.
