Kabini Dam

Kabini Dam is a dam constructed between Bidarahalli and Beachanahalli villages in HD Kote taluk of Mysore district of Karnataka state. This dam was built in 1974 on the Kabini River at Bidarahalli.

Kabini Dam is about 204.8 km from Bangalore and 105.7 km from Mandya and 60.8 km from Mysore. It is only 63.3 km from Mysore railway station.

Kabini Dam is 696 meters long and has a catchment area of ​​2,141.90 square kilometers. The main purpose of this dam is to provide drinking water, irrigation system and generate electricity to the surrounding 22 villages and 14 hamlets (a small village lacking basic civic amenities).

Kabini Dam is a famous tourist spot for tourists and has transformed into an exotic destination for tourists over the years.
