Mandya “Sangama” or Triveni Sangam Srirangapatna is the confluence of three holy rivers namely Kaveri River, Lokpavani River and Hemavati River. Sangam is in Srirangapatna, Mandya. The place of this confluence is believed to be very auspicious and according to legend, bathing in the waters of the confluence is believed to wash away any sins.
Triveni Sangam is 129 km from Bangalore, 29 km from Mandya, 18 km from Mysore and only 4.5 km from Sri Rangapatnam.
Just before Srirangapatna, the river Kaveri divides into two parts, the North Kaveri and the South Kaveri. A river named Lokpavani joins the North Kaveri river in this middle.
