History
This Kunti Betta has significant mythological landscape and historical legend significance. According to legend, during their exile, Kunti and the Pandavas took refuge in the caves of Kunti Betta. It is believed that Kunti used to offer prayers to the deities here and seek their blessings, hence the name Kunti Betta.
Pandavapura is surrounded by paddy fields, coconut trees and sugarcane ranches. At the head of the slope is a pot-shaped stone and stone pit where she is said to have prepared food. The Pandavas ended their 12-year long exile here. Hence it is said that this town got its name as ‘Pandavapura’.
