Gosai Ghat Srirangapatna

Gosai Ghat is situated on the banks of the Veri River and close to the Triveni confluence. Gosai Ghat is located in Srirangapatna town of Mandya district of Karnataka state. Gosai Ghat is not only a place of religious functions for Hindus. It is a popular picnic spot and attracts tourists from the vicinity as it is situated on the banks of the river. Many movies have also been shot at this location.

Gosai Ghat is about 134 km from Bangalore. It is about 28 km from Mandya city and 16 km from Mysore city. It is 4 km from Srirangapatna. Srirangapatna is the nearest railway station which is just 6 km away.

Between the two ghats, there is a small temple and bathhouse at the small ghat adjacent to the Kashi Vishweshwar temple. The large Gosai Ghat has a temple complex on the bank of Sannaghatta. The complex has temples like Ishwara, Hanumanta, and Kashi Vishwanath. The vast Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the main attraction and the flow of the Kaveri in front of the temple brings immense joy to the tourists. This place has some stories of history. Final rites will be done.
