Renowned artist and creator of the famous Utsav Rock Garden is TB Solabakkanavar. Spread over an area of 50 acres, the Utsav Rock Garden is an indoor and outdoor sculpture museum for both laymen and connoisseurs to enjoy the art.
Owner of Utsav Rock Garden is Mr. Prakash Dasanur, Founder of Dasanur Group, Mr. Prakash Ray is a supporter of all creative endeavors related to the garden. He was a dreamer, a son of the soil, with honesty, commitment, hard work, team work and vision that stretched the boundaries and he rose to great heights in entrepreneurship.
Utsav Rock Garden is about 374 km from Bangalore and 40 km from Hubli. And it is 18 km away from Haveri city. 20 km from Haveri City Railway Station.
Utsav Rock Garden was opened for public from October 2, 2009. Art work and landscaping started in 2006 and till now the creativity art work continues. Art here is never-ending and timeless, with a new vibrant art gallery and various sculptures being installed every year. It is not only a complete tourist center but also an anthropological museum of Karnataka folklore and culture.
A day stay at Utsav Rock Garden is available for Rs 1500, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM one can easily spend a full day here, including 3 meals. That means lunch, dinner and breakfast and snacks along with unlimited tea and coffee.
Utsav Garden is a ‘Contemporary Sculpture Museum’. It is an excellent exploration of the rural kingdom through art, architecture, sculptures and modern art. It is famous as an educational and cultural tourist center in Karnataka, with thousands of unique world-class sculptures and is famous for holding 8 world records.
The Rock Garden features man-made interconnected waterfalls and many other sculptures made from scrap and other types of waste materials.
