Kadambeshwar Temple is a temple located in the village of Rattihalli in Hirekerur taluk of Haveri district in the state of Karnataka.The Kadambeshwar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva on the bank of river Kumudvati. The temple is a gem of 11th century Kalyana Chalukya architecture.

History Kadambeshwar Temple Rattihalli
The east facing kadambeshvara temple, also known as kadambeshvara in inscriptions, is an 11 century ad trikuta temple. It is one of the magnificent temples built during kalyana chalukya period. It has three garbhagrihas, three antaralas leading to a spacious navaranaga and an open pillared sabhamandapa. The doorway of the main garbhagriha is decorated with panchasakhas and inverted lotus bud on the cross beam. The arched lalata has relief sculpture of gajalakshmi.
The shiva linga is placed on a kalyana chalukya styled stelle type pedestal in the garbhagriha. The doorjamb of antarala also has panchasakhas and on either side jalandhras are seen. The other two garbhagrihas enshrine lingas and the doorjambs are decorative. The navaranga has four huge typical kalyana chalukya style pillars. A monolithic sculpture of nandi is placed near the eastern entrance way of the navaranga.
The spacious sabhamandapa has 24 pillars with entrance porches (mukhamandapa praveshadvara) on all the three sides. The door lintel of the navaranga has relief sculptures of chamara bearing nymphs, ganesha, natya siva, vishnu and mahishamardini. On either sides of navaranaga entrance are two huge dvarapalaka sculptures. The two devakosthas houses the image of ganesha and durga. Tritala dravida sikhara with sukhanasi is found above the three garbhagrihas. On the sikhara of the right side garbhagriha are found miniature sculptures of bhairava, nataraja in various postures, asina siva, chaturbhuja siva and various deities.
