Ancient Shri Yoganarasimha Temple Narasipura

Sri Yoganarasimha Temple Narasipura this temple is located in the village Narasipura Halebidu, Hobali, Belur Taluk, Hassan District, Karnataka State. This temple is a 13th century Hoysala temple. The temple was established in 1280 AD during the reign of Hoysala king Vira Narasimha Ballala.

The special feature of this temple is that in those days they used to send money to Dodda Tirupati every day, there is an inscription here.

There is a Hoysala-era Trikootachala temple here and now only the main sanctum sanctorum has a Yoganarasimha idol in yoga mudra. The Lakshminarayan idol in the right sanctum is different and the one on the left is known to have been stolen. Yoganarasimha idol is about 08 feet and very beautiful. There is a carving of Dashavatara on Prabhavali and a sculpture of Garuda on the pedestal. The outer walls of the temple are decorated with small sculptures.
