Here the so-called gatekeepers are not there when the door is closely observed. According to the priests, in the Treta Yuga, the gatekeepers were cursed by the sages. As a result he was born as Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashyapa.

There was no alternative watchman to watch the door of Lord Vishnu who came and settled here in the Treta Yuga. Thus he linked the existence of Bhagavan Amaranarayana Swamy Temple to the days of Treta Yuga, which also existed in this Kali Yuga.

According to local legends, Lord Rama visited Kaiwara twice. Once with Vishvamitra in a mission to protect the yagnas being performed by sages and second time during the exile of Sita Devi and Lakshmana. There is a cave called Rama Cave in the temple of Amara Narayana. It is believed that Lord Rama stayed in this cave. On the outskirts of Kaiwara is the temple of Veeranjaneya.

On a nearby hill, Lakshmana shot an arrow in order to get water to quench Sita Devi’s thirst, a small lake called Lakshmana Tirtha was formed at this place. Adjacent to Lakshmana Theertha is Chamundeshwari Devi Temple. After killing the demon Mahishasura, Goddess Chamundeswari visited this theertha, bathed in its holy waters and assumed a peaceful form.

This place is also known as Eka Chakrapuri. Lord Surya drives the chariot from east to west every day. The wheel of his chariot broke when it was over this place. It was called ‘Eka Chakra Pura’ because Lord Surya went on his way after repairing and repairing his vehicle for some time.
