Vishwa Shanti Ashrama, Vijaya Vittala Mandir

Vishwa Shanti Ashram is 27 km from Bangalore. It is distance and 02 km from is on the outskirts of Nelamangala. Located near Nelamangala on the Tumkur highway, this ashram was established by Sadhguru Sant Keshavdas. It is a quiet place which is a wonderful sightseeing place, there is a lot of wide open space in these premises.

The colossal statue of Vithala and Rukmayi, this 36 feet statue is one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, which greets you as soon as you enter the Ashram premises and is awe-inspiring.

Surrounding the idol are temples dedicated to Ashta Lakshmi Devi (the eight incarnations of Goddess Lakshmi), Lakshmi and Narayana and Gayatri.

There is also the Vishwarupam Temple, which houses an idol of Lord Vishnu in his majestic ‘Vishwaroopam’ avatar. The sculpture is magnificent, and attention to every small detail is essential. On the walls surrounding the statue, the entire Bhagavad Gita is carved on granite slabs.

The exterior of Vishwarupam Temple depicts the scene of Arjuna’s preaching from the Mahabharata, with Lord Krishna as the charioteer of the great chariot offering words of advice to Arjuna. It is a beautiful thing to behold.

Opposite the Vishwaroop temple are seven statues depicting the seven major rivers of India – Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Cauvery, Narmada, Indus and Saraswati is another beautiful piece of work. In front of the Seven Rivers there is a Dhyana Mandir of Sadguru Saint Keshavadasaji.

Vishwa Shanti Ashram is a beautiful and serene place and worth a visit. Ganesha, Shiva, Rama, Panduranga Rakhumai, Subrahmanya, Radha Krishna, Satyanarayana Temples. Sankata Haran Mochan Anjaneya Temple is also there.
