Shrimantgad Fort is located 15 km from Shirahatti in Gadag district of Karnataka state. Shrimantgad Fort was earlier known as Simantagad and historically it is associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji and according to the mythology Goddess Jainuramma gifted a sword to Shivaji.
